The semester ticket is obligatory for all students at the Hochschule Bremen. The price of the semester ticket (EUR 176.40 – (status: winter semester 2024/25) is paid upon re-registration.
In exceptional cases, exemption from the semester ticket or a refund of any already paid fees is possible.
When is an exemption possible?
An application for exemption from the semester ticket can be made in the following cases:
- For a study-related stay abroad of at least 3 months.
- If according to SGB IX entitlement to free transport exists.
- If you are enrolled at two universities with compulsory purchase of the semester ticket (exemption can then be grantedt at one university).
- During a smester of leave.
Non-use of the ticket does not entitle you to exemption.
